What Shall I do, Lord?

Saul asked this question as soon as he got the answer to his previous question: ``Who are you, Lord?'' (Acts 22:8). The answer was: ``I am Jesus of Nazareth.''


If you know for sure that the person with whom you had an encounter in life is Jesus, then the next question to ask is: ``What shall I do, Lord?'' (Acts 22:10). Saul asked this question. He got an answer. It changed his life. It gave his life direction and a mission. It took the light of the gospel to the ends of the then-known world.


Saul asked this question as soon as he encountered Jesus. Some others wait an eternity before they even begin to think of asking this question. But it is never too late. If you have not asked this question yet, think about it. What prevents you from asking it? And how long will you wait before asking it?


Saul asked this question because he got the answer to the first question. He understood that Jesus is indeed Lord! It is that understanding that you and I need today. He is the Lord of this universe. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. All knees will bow before Him one day. And every tongue will confess that He is Lord! All authority in heaven and on earth has been given Him. This is the glory of Jesus, the One risen from the dead. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.


Have you understood Jesus as Lord? Probably not. If you had understood Him as Lord, you would have asked the question: ``What shall I do, Lord?'' An understanding that He is Lord makes you think immediately of His desired purpose for your life. Surely your life would make a difference. Is that not the reason why He has met with you? But how would you know the purpose that you are to fulfill unless you ask Him about it? So the question to ask now is, ``What shall I do, Lord?''


Possibly, this is the best question you can ask as you stand at the crossroads of life. Probably the answer may not be as dramatic as the Damascus Road experience of Saul. But still turning points in life are vitally important to you. But more so to God as He waits for you to ask, ``What shall I do, Lord?'' Many miss the purpose of their life simply because they fail to ask this question. They stop after having asked the first one. They are satisfied that they had met Jesus. But they forget the fact that every encounter with Jesus is purposeful.


The woman at the well in Samaria (John 4), Zacchaeus the tax collector (Luke 19), Nathanael who sat under the fig tree (John 1), Nicodemus (John 3:1,2; 19:39) are all examples of purposeful encounters in the life of Jesus. So remember, He has met you with a purpose. Are you ready to fulfill it? If so, you have to ask the question in earnest: ``What shall I do, Lord?'' Ask, before the day is over. Even now the day is far spent and the night is closing in.


As far as Saul was concerned, Jesus told him to get up and go into Damascus: ``There you will be told all that you have been assigned to do'' (Acts 22:10b ). And Saul obeyed. He, till his last lap on earth, continued to fulfill the purpose for which Jesus had encountered him on the road to Damascus. He could say truthfully, ``I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven'' (Acts 26:19b NIV).


Finally, he could say, ``I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith'' (2 Timothy 4:7 NIV).


The entire future of his life was decided by the question he decided to ask Jesus: ``What shall I do, Lord?'' Therefore if you earnestly desire to make an impact for God in your generation, ask God today to reveal to you the purpose of your life. It could be the most important question you might ever ask on earth!

The WORD of GOD is Living & Active

The story is told of an old man who lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning, Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading from his old worn-out Bible. His grandson who wanted to be just like him tried to imitate him in any way he could.


One day the grandson asked, “Papa, I try to read the Bible just like you but I don’t understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Bible do?“. The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and said, “Take this coal basket down to the river and bring back a basket of water.”


The boy did as he was told, even though all the water leaked out before he could get back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, “You will have to move a little faster next time,” and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again.


This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was “impossible to carry water in a basket,” and he went to get a bucket instead. The old man said, “I don’t want a bucket of water. I want a basket of water. You can do this. You’re just not trying hard enough,” and he went out the door to watch the boy try again.


At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got far at all. The boy scooped the water and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty.


Out of breath, he said, “See Papa, it’s useless!”


The old man said, “So you think it is useless? Look at the basket.” The boy looked at the basket and for the first time he realized that the basket looked different. Instead of a dirty old coal basket, it was clean. “Son, that’s what happens when you read the Bible. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, it will change you from the inside out.”


That is the work of God in our lives . . . to change us from the inside out and to slowly transform us into the image of His son. That is where the Holy Bible comes in and plays the important part.


For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. — Hebrews 4:12-13 (The Bible)

It Makes A Difference

A vacationing businessman was walking along a beach when he 
saw a young boy. Along the shore were many starfish that had 
been washed up by the tide and were sure to die before the 
tide returned. The boy was walking slowly along the shore and 
occasionally reached down and tossed the beached starfish 
back into the ocean.


The businessman, hoping to teach the boy a little lesson in 
common sense, walked up to the boy and said, “I have been 
watching what you are doing, son. You have a good heart, and 
I know you mean well, but do you realize how many beaches 
there are around here and how many starfish are dying on 
every beach every day. Surely such an industrious and kind 
hearted boy such as yourself could find something better to do 
with your time. Do you really think that what you are doing is 
going to make a difference?”


The boy looked up at the man, and then he looked down at a 
starfish by his feet. He picked up the starfish, and as he gently 
tossed it back into the ocean, he said, “It makes a difference to 
that one.”




Do what you can, to help someone. It wont change the world 
fully but it will surely bless the person, whom you are helping.


Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is

Love In Action

One night a man came to our house and told me (Mother Teresa), “There is a family with eight children. They have not eaten for days,” I took some food and I went. When I finally came to the family, I saw the faces of those little children disfigured by hunger. There was no sorrow or sadness in their faces, just the deep pain of hunger. I gave the rice to the mother. She divided it in two, and went out, carrying half the rice with her. When she came back, I asked her, “Where did you go?” She gave me this simple answer, “To my neighbors-they are hungry also.”


I was not surprised that she gave–because poor people are generous. But I was surprised that she knew they were hungry. As a rule, when we are suffering, we are so focused on ourselves we have no time for others.

P.U.S.H - Pray Until Something Happens

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. 


So, this the man did, day after day.


For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all of his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.


Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary  decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind: "You have been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn't moved."


Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man. 


Adversary said, "Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough."


That's what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to the Lord. "Lord," he said, "I have labored long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?"


The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push.


And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. True, you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. That you have done. Now I, my friend, will move the rock."


At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just a simple obedience and faith in Him. 


By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God who moves mountains.


I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. "   Matthew 17:20

I am not perfect - Why would God want me

I'm not perfect. I have all kinds of problems. I have no ability. I have no gifts. I'm just not worthy. Why would God want me?

Well, did you know that

Moses stuttered.

David's armor didn't fit.

John Mark deserted Paul.

Timothy had ulcers.

Hosea's wife was a prostitute.

Amos' only training was in the school of fig-tree pruning. 

Jacob was a liar. 

David had an affair.

Solomon was too rich.

Jesus was too poor.

Abraham was too old.

David was too young.

Peter was afraid of death.

Lazarus was dead.

John was self-righteous.

Naomi was a widow. 

Paul was a persecutor of the church.

Moses was a murderer.

Jonah ran from God's will.

Miriam was a gossip.

Gideon and Thomas both doubted.

Jeremiah was depressed and suicidal. 

Elijah was burned out.

John the Baptist was a loudmouth.

Martha was a worry-wart.

Noah got drunk.

Did I mention that Moses had a short fuse?

So did Peter, Paul - well, lots of folks did. 

He's our Heavenly Father. He doesn't look at financial gain or loss. He's not prejudiced or partial, not judging, grudging, sassy, or brassy, not deaf to our cry, not blind to our need. 

He know who we are and what we are and loves us in spite of ourselves.

 if we are in love with Him, if we hunger for Him, He'll use us in spite of who we are, where we've been, what we have done, or the fact that we are not perfect! 

Power Of Actions

One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a boy from my class was walking home from school. His name 

was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his 

books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd." I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my 

friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on. 

As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms 

and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from 

him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and 

as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye. As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those 

guys are jerks. They really should get lives." He looked at me and said, "Thanks!" 

There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his 

books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him 

before. He said he had gone to private school. I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. 

We talked all the way home, and I carried his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to 

play football on Saturday with me and my friends. He said yes. We hung all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, 

the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him. 

Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are 

gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!" He just laughed and handed me half the 

books. 

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors, we began to think about college. 

Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would 

never be a problem. He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship. 

Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for 

graduation. I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak. Graduation day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. 

He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in 

glasses.  

I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be 

great!" He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. "Thanks," he said. 

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began. "Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make 

it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers,  your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends. I 

am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them. I am going to tell you a 

story." 

I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over 

the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying 

his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile. "Thankfully, I was saved. My friend saved me from 

doing the unspeakable. "I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his 

weakest moment. I saw his mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile. Not until that moment 

did I realize it's depth. 

Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life, for better or 

for worse. 

God puts us all in each other's lives to impact one another in some way. 

Live in peace with each other, encourage the timid, help the weak.     1 Thessalonians 5:15 (The Bible)

He Loves U

Long Back ago...


There was a huge Apple tree..


A Little boy loved to play with it..


He love to climb the tree, love to eat apples...love to take the nap under its shadow..


Times went on...


The boy grew up....


And he no longer play around the tree


One day the boy came....


The Tree asked him "Hi, come and play with me..."


The Boy replied "I am not a kid. I don't play around tree"


"I play with toys. I need money to buy toys."


The Tree said..."I don't have money but you can take all my apples and sell it. You will get the money."


The boy picked all the apples of the tree and went...


He sold the apples and got money...


He bought lot of toys...


But he didn't turn back....


The tree was again sad...


One day again the boy came, he became a young man now.....


The Tree said...."HI..Why are you Sad? Come and Sit under my shadow...


I am feeling very lonely without you..."


The boy said..."I don't have time....


I work for my family....


I want to build home for them....


I need money...."


The tree said..."I don't have money...You can take my Branches and Trunk...and build your home...."


The Boy became Happy....


He cut all the branches and trunk of the tree...


And built a home for him...


Again the tree became alone...


The boy didn't turn back...


Time passes on...


After long time the boy came back...


He was so old...Looking sad...Tired...and Lonely...


The tree asked him..."Why are you Sad...


I Wish..I can help you...


The Boy(old man) replied..."I am tired of my life...I am alone."


"I just need you...Can I sit down at your roots."


The Boy(old man) site down...Both were happy and weeping.


The Tree is Jesus Christ...


We love to pray with him when we are kids...


We leave them alone...and come only when...We are in need or trouble..


But Jesus love us all the time...He will not hate us...Everytime he loves us...


So don’t come to Jesus when you are in trouble. Always live for Jesus...


Jesus Love You...

True LOVE

Once upon a time queen announces of one million dollar for the peoples who brings Red rose for him. It is very rare to get on that season. Everyone in that country begin to search for Red Rose.


A poor man in that country also begins to search for that. He tried a lot but he can't able to find Red Rose. At that time Nightingale bird saw the poor man cry. The Bird asked why you are crying. The man replied that I need money urgently. For that I need one Red Rose. I tried a lot but I didn't get that.


Nightingale bird decided to help that poor man. So bird also tried to get Red Ross. After a few minutes bird finds the Ross. But it's not a Red Ross, it's an White Ross. Bird decided to change White Ross to Red Ross. So, bird began to flow his blood from the body. It drops all his blood to that white Ross.


Now white Ross became Red Rose. But the bird given all its blood fell down and died. The poor man came there and taken that Red Rose and got one million dollar paid by the queen. Poor man forget that Bird.


Jesus born in this world to fulfill our needs. He crucified in the cross given his precious blood for us. No one in the world given blood for you and me. Only Jesus Christ given all his blood for our sin. Don't forget Jesus and pray everyday.


The Bible says


Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins. Ecclesiastes 7:20


for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23


Only the blood of jesus can cleanse us from all our sins.


He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:2

For GOD so loved the WORLD

There was a bridge which was constructed in such a way that the center portion of the bridge could be lifted with the help of huge wheels, so that ships could easily pass under the bridge. On the bridge, rail tracks are laid for trains.

A man was appointed to roll the wheels up and down when ships arrive. Once he saw a train slowly approaching, while he was pulling back the bridge after a ship quietly passed beneath. He had to pull back quickly or else there would be a fatal accident and thousands would have died.

At that time his 9 year old son came with lunch. When he saw his father struggling with the wheels, he kept the lunch box down and started helping him to roll the wheels to put the bridge back. Suddenly his son's finger got caught inside the wheel and he started crying out. At this time if the father tries to save his son, the bridge could not be put back on time. He had no other option but to ignore his son's cry. With all his strength he kept on rolling the wheels to down the bridge. As the wheels rolled on, his son slowly started slipping away into the huge machine.

Tears rolled down his father's cheeks, but he ignored his son's cry. If he tried to save him, the train will surely fall into the sea and thousands of people will die. Slowly the boy's whole body fell into the machine and his father could hear his bones breaking one by one, until with a loud sound, his head cracked.

The train with thousands of passengers slowly rolled on the rails, without knowing what had happened there.

Though this man performed his duty honestly he lost his only loving son. With extreme lamentation, he pulled out his son's body parts from the machine and held it close to his chest and cried bitterly.


Yes it happened, two thousand years back. Our God LORD gave his one and only to son Jesus, to save and cleanse us from all our sins.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son(Jesus), that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16,17.

Surprise Some One By Giving Some Thing

A young man, a university student was one day taking a walk with a professor friend of his. As they went along, they 
saw lying in the path a pair of old shoes, which they supposed belong to a poor man who was employed in a field close 
by. The poor man had nearly finished his day's work and was about to collect his shoes. The student turned to the 
professor saying: "Let us play a trick on the man. We will hide his shoes, and hide ourselves behind those bushes, and 
wait to see his perplexity when he cannot find them". The professor answered "We should never amuse ourselves at the 
expense of the poor. But since you are rich, it may give you much greater pleasure by means of the poor man. Put a 
coin into each shoe of his, and then we will hide ourselves and watch how the discovery affects him". The student did so, 
and they both hid themselves behind the bushes close by. Soon the poor man finished his work and came across the field 
to the path where he had left his coat and old shoes. While putting on his coat he slipped his foot into one of his shoes; 
but feeling something hard, he stooped down to feel what it was, and found the coin.


Astonishment and wonder were seen upon his face. He gazed upon the coin, turned it round, and looked at it again and 
again. He then looked around him on all sides, but no one was to be seen. He now put the money into his hands, and 
proceeded to put on the other shoe; but his surprise was doubled on finding the other coin. His feelings overcame him; 
he fell upon his knees, looked up to heaven and uttered aloud a fervent thanksgiving, Lord! You know my wife is sick and 
helpless and my children without food, thank you Lord for you have answered my prayers and tears.


After watching this incident the student stood there deeply affected, his eyes filled with tears. "Now", said the professor, 
by taking his shoe you wanted to make fun with the poor man but by giving your coin you have become answers to 
poor man's prayers. Are you not very much pleases by giving those coins and having become answer to his prayers? 


"The youth replied, " You have taught me a lesson which I will never forget. I now know the truth of those words, which I 
never understood before:


"But Now I understood that it is more blessed to give than to receive".




Surprise people by giving some to them but do not surprise people by taking some thing from them.


God has blessed us to be an answer to the poor people prayer. Learn to give whaterver you can to whomever you can 
and wherever you can.


 He who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, and LORD will repay him for his good deed. Proverbs 19:17

A Child's FAITH

A little girl was about to undergo a critical operation. Just before the doctor administered the anesthetic, she said, "Before we can make you well, we must put you to sleep."


The girl responded, "Oh, if you are going to put me to sleep, then I must say my prayers first."


She closed her eyes, and said: "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake; I pray the Lord my soul to take, And this I ask for Jesus' sake. Amen."


This prayer brought joy to the girl and tears to the doctor. The doctor had seen many patients so fearful in the Operation Theater due to fear of death and not knowing what would happen next. But for the very first time in her life has she seen a face so cheerful before a major operation; the reason for her joy on her face is Jesus in her heart.


The doctor prayed for the very first time in her life asking God to give her the faith of like that kid to face any circumstances with joy and peace.




Dear friend, are you going through a major surgery or major changes in life or major problems? Don't worry. If you have Jesus inside your heart then the problems outside will not move you. Just trust Jesus like that small kid then you can experience great peace and joy in spite of your problems and pains. And also pray sincerely so that He will bring you out of all your pressures and problems according His will.


"And call for help when you are in trouble - I will help you, and you will honor me". Psalms 50:15 (The Bible)


She was a little Girl and had a big problem but she has big GOD. Do you know that Big God who created the universe? His name Jesus, Try him and Trust Him right now to live in peace in spite of all your problems.
